The art and craft of Chrismon (Christ Monogram) making is being revived across America.  It is a simple skill that involves beadwork to form special hand made Christmas ornaments that are not only beautiful, but may be used to teach children about the Lord Jesus Christ.

The women of Countryside have been scheduling classes to teach the craft.  Please check our events calendar for scheduled dates.

Below are just a few examples of the work that's finished so far!

The Alpha and the Omega

The Celtic Cross

When St. Patrick became the first missionary to Ireland, he discovered that many in Ireland worshipped the sun.  He used the cross of Jesus, superimposed over the sun, to teach the Irish of Christ's supremacy.

" The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.

Isaiah 60:19

The Latin Cross

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.      Galations 6:14

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.    Matthew 16:24

The Star of Bethlehem

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.                  Micah 5:2

The Rose of Sharon
